Chandrakant Kulkarni a great inspiration, says Narendra Modi

New Delhi, June 26 (ANI): Talking about the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the efforts made by Chandrakant Kulkarni, a retired government employee who donated almost one third of his pension every month for a ‘Swachh Bharat Kosh’. Kulkarni, who donated almost a third of his pension from June 2015 to September 2019, presented 52 post-dated cheques, worth Rs. 2,60,000 to Prime Minister Modi during the latter’s visit to Pune yesterday. The ‘Swachh Bharat Kosh’ has been set up by the government to facilitate channelisation of philanthropic contributions and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds towards the Clean India Campaign as individuals and philanthropists expressed interest in contributing to efforts to achieve the objective of ‘Swachh Bharat’ by the year 2019.
