India has progressed tremendously, says World Bank President

New Delhi, June 30 (ANI): World Bank President Jim Yong Kim, who is on a two-day visit to explore how World Bank could provide knowledge and financing to India’s reforms development agenda, met Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in the national capital on Thursday. The visit is to review projects and understand first-hand India’s efforts on renewable energy and nutrition, a World Bank statement had said ahead of Kim’s arrival. After the meeting, Kim said they are extremely pleased with the progress made by India. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set extremely difficult targets and India has been their one of the most important partner. Its success in last two years is tremendous.
