Panchayat issues diktat, says girls should refrain from using mobile phones

Muzaffarnagar (UP), June 25 (ANI): With Prime Minister Narendra Modi aggressively promoting ‘Digital India’ and ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’, a village in Muzaffarnagar continues to make mockery of his efforts. In another attempt to prevent the girls from getting carried away in the modern world and from getting ‘corrupted’ by the internet, Jat Mahasabha’s president, Narendra Singh in Muzaffarnagar city of Uttar Pradesh has banned the girls from using mobile phones. He fruther said that he is not against mobiles, but is against its misuse. Students must use them only in presence of parents. One of the girl said that if her elders have taken some decision for them then they will respect it and will follow all the instructions.
