Play staged to observe International Day in Support of Victims of Torture

Dharamshala, June 27 (ANI): The exiled-Tibetan government marked the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture by staging a theatre play to highlight the plight of prisoners in Tibet. Scores of Tibetans-in-exile gathered at Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) in Dharamshala to watch performing artistes bring out the plight of Tibetans under Chinese rule. The United Nations International Day in Support of Victims of Torture is held every year on June 26 to speak out against torture and to honour and support victims and survivors throughout the world.
