Salman Khan acquitted by Rajasthan HC in Black Buck poaching case

New Delhi, July 25 (ANI): The Rajasthan High Court (HC) acquitted actor Salman Khan in connection with the 1998 Black Buck poaching case on Monday. The actor and seven others had been accused of killing a blackbuck and a chinkara in two separate cases while shooting for the movie ‘Hum Sath Sath Hain.’ in the state. Khan had challenged a lower court’s verdict that convicted him and sentenced him to one and five years of imprisonment respectively under Wildlife Act. The high court completed hearing the cases in the last week of May, but had reserved its decision for today.
