Shutdown in Karnataka over adverse Mahadayi Water Dispute Tribunal order

Bengaluru, July 30 (ANI): The state of Karnataka is observing a shutdown today in protest against an adverse order given by the Mahadayi Water Dispute Tribunal. The state had asked for the release of 7.56 TMC feet of water to be given to it, which the tribunal rejected. The water dispute is between Karnataka and Goa and has been going on for a decade. The state has been paralysed for last three days due to strike by KSRTC and BMTC employees.
