Chirang (Assam), July 31 (ANI): Incessant rain and floods have added to the problems of people after heavy erosion of soil was witnessed in Assam s Chirang district. The erosion has increased the possibilities of any untoward incident for villagers, who shifted to makeshift shelters after their houses were washed away. Divulging the details, a local said that more than 50 to 60 houses were swept away by the flood, adding the water level has already crossed the danger mark. Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal made an aerial survey of the flood hit state yesterday.
