New Delhi, Aug 28 (ANI): Asserting that India has always attempted to maintain cordial relations with its neighbours, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday welcomed launch of Akashvani’s Maitree channel, saying that it will help in making people to people contact between the residents of Bangladesh and West Bengal. He further extended his thanks to the Bangladesh Government for participating in the initiative. Run by India’s public service broadcaster Akashvani, ‘Maitree’ channel was launched by President Pranab Mukherjee earlier this month. The platform provides a platform for blending content from India and Bangladesh.
