Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh), Aug 23 (ANI): Ace shuttler PV Sindhu was awarded a cheque worth Rs 3 crore by the Andhra Pradesh government at a huge felicitation ceremony in Vijayawada on Tuesday. Sindhu was accompanied by her coach Pullela Gopichand during the event held at Indira Gandhi Stadium. State chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had also announced a 1,000 square yard house-site and a Group 1 government job for the badminton player. Sindhu scripted the history by becoming country’s first woman player to clinch a silver medal in the Olympics held at Rio.
