Bareilly, (UP), Aug 27 (ANI): A woman was gang-raped and robbed in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly district on Friday night by three men while they held her children on gun point. Police said one of the accused, posing as a crime branch official, called up the victim’s husband and told him that his number was being used by another person and he needed to switch off his mobile phone to help track the offender. The two accused then visited the woman at her house and told her that her husband had been arrested and she was required to come along to secure his release. The panic-stricken victim agreed to go with the accused and took her two children along. The accused drove the woman to a secluded spot where they were joined by their third associate. All three took turns to rape her. Deputy Inspector General, Ashutosh Kumar, said six persons have been arrested in connection with the case.
