67 cyclists, 14 countries, one message- Environmental conservation

Shimla, Sep 25 (ANI): The 12th mountain cycling annual event of Shimla which begins today will see 67 cyclists from 14 different countries including India. All the cyclists have gathered in the hilly state to send a message of environment protection and tourism. The Himalayan Adventure Sports and Tourism Promotion Association (HASATPA) are organizing this cycling championship for past over twelve years now. Participants have come here from U.K., Canada, Portugal, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Spain, Austria, South Africa, Germany, Australia, Italy, Switzerland and India. The organizers are happy as participants are increasing each year. In this event, a total of 67 participants would be riding the cycles in hilly terrains of Shimla. They would ride the 650 kilometres distance in the Himalayan region. Cyclists will pass through the tough terrain of the Himalayas. The organizers believe that this cycling event will promote cycling in the region and also enhance environmental conservation. Locals are pleased to be the part of cycling event.
