Surat, Sep 30 (ANI): An Asiatic lion, Shyamal, attraction of Surat’s Sarthana Zoo, is not keeping well from the past 25 days. Suffering from kidney problem, condition of Shyamal is deteriorating day by day. Giving details, consulting doctor of the zoo Dr. Rajesh Patel on Friday said the reports say that there is a problem in his kidney. He added that the lion has stopped eating from past one week and is not responding to treatment. The Asiatic lion is a lion subspecies that exists as a single population in Gujarat. It is listed as endangered by International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) due to its small population size.
