Surat, Sep 25 (ANI): With auspicious Navratri festival around the corner, a Surat-based choreographer Meena Modi has come up with a new concept of Garba skating. Choreographer and skating teacher Meena taught the students how to perform the traditional dance on skates. Giving the details about it, Meena said around 250 students participated in the ‘dandiya’ and ‘garba’ dance. She added that it was very difficult to dance on the skates that require taking spins and jumping but the children really enjoyed it. The word Navratri, which means nine lights, is a festival dedicated to the worship of the Hindu deity goddess Durga.
