21-year-old UPSC aspirant loses both legs in freak accident

Thane, Oct 23 (ANI): A 21-year-old girl from Pune lost both her legs after she fell off the Indrayani Express, and ended up going through the gap between the footboard and the platform, and the train then ran over both her legs. The girl has been identified as Sayali’s Dhamdhere, a resident of Pune, who had come to Kalyan on Sunday to take the entrance exam of State Institute for Administrative careers near Chhatrapathi Shivaji Terminus. Sayali’s father, who is a teacher in a rural school, blamed the railway authority responsible for everything which happened with his daughter. He demanded the government to help them financially so that his daughter can walk again.
