At expense of Rs. 1 crore, man-eater tigress shot dead after 40 days

Ramnagar, Uttarakhand, Oct 21 (ANI): With an extensive search operation of over 40 days and spending nearly Rs. 1 crore, the forest department officials of Uttarakhand succeeded in shooting down a man-eater tigress in state’s Ramnagar town on Thursday. The six-year-old wild cat, who was strolling in the region around Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve from several days, had mauled two persons to death and injured four others in the past month. The wild beast was declared man-eater on September 27. Helicopters, drones and several forest personnel were deployed in the task.
