New Delhi, Oct 26 (ANI): In a sad news breaking this morning, legendary Kashmiri singer Raj Begum passed away at the age of 89 after prolonged illness. After ruling generations of Kashmiri music lovers through her mesmerising voice, the legendary vocalist took her last breath during wee hours on Wednesday. The Padma Shri awardee had taken off as a wedding singer and then rose gradually to become one of the most powerful female voices in Kashmir. The melody queen of Kashmir was born in 1927 and is now survived by two sons, a daughter and a number of grand children. May God bless her soul.
