Ludhiana, Oct 20: Punjab has not only contributed to agriculture, but its role in the manufacturing sector also remains commendable. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently launched a centre in Ludhiana city to provide professional support to entrepreneurs from the weaker sections of the society. The SC/ST hub will help promote enterprise culture and entrepreneurship amongst the targeted population and enable them to participate more effectively in public procurement. Modi said he wanted to encourage job givers to meet the growing demands of employment. Modi also awarded Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) industrialists on the occasion. The promotion of MSME sector will certainly boost the economy of the state.
