Anybody should think twice before defaming army: West Bengal Governor on Mamata Banerjee

Kolkata, Dec 03 (ANI): Hitting out at the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for alleging that the army had taken money at toll booths, Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi said that anybody should think twice before defaming a responsible organisation like the Indian Army. Without naming Banerjee, Tripathi said, “Any person should take care and think twice before making allegations against the army.” “Don’t let down the army, don’t defame the army,” he added. The governor’s statement has come after Mamata Banerjee claimed that the army has deployed soldiers at tolls booths across West Bengal without her government’s notice.
