Surat (Gujarat), Dec 03 (ANI): Giving some respite to people who are bearing the brunt of demonetisation, a college in Surat held a unique fashion show in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s November 8 decision. Students were seen sporting stylish dresses with prints of banned old currency notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 denomination. The girls, walking on the ramp, were clad in old notes. Students also carried old currency in their hands, which they threw in the dustbin kept at the end of the ramp, symbolically representing the discard of Rs.500 and Rs.1000 notes. The government is getting a mixed response from across the nation about this decision of theirs. On the one hand, people are ready to bear the pain of standing in queues to extend their support to government, whereas on the other hand, people are resorting to violence showing their strong disagreement.
