New Delhi, Dec 03 (ANI): Veteran poet and former Rajya Sabha member Bekul Utsahi passed away at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi after suffering a brain hemorrhage. Poet Ashok Chakradhar said that Utsahi was like a father to him, so he saw his death as a personal loss. He added that Utsahi was a great poet. In the year 1976, Utsahi received the Padmashree Award for his contributions to literature. He was actively involved with the Indian National Congress and was nominated as a Member of the Rajya Sabha for his contribution to national integration.
