Drainage across Hyderabad to be developed in 2017-2018: Telangana minister KT Rama Rao

Hyderabad, Jan 17 (ANI): Telangana Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao on Tuesday said that the Government is working to develop drainage system across Hyderabad in the year 2017-2018. From April onwards, drinking water will be made available to the city daily, he informed. He further said that the Government is refraining from evacuating slum-dwellers residing nearby drains and is looking for alternatives on the same. Asserting that the present state Government is questioned on the Swachh Hyderabad, the minister said that Rs. 200 crores have been allocated for sanitation works to make the motive a grand success. He added that the administration is taking an account of the number of pipelines and water supply systems across the state. Rao further informed that developmental works are being carried out in connection to the water logging, Hussain Sagar cleaning drive, LED and street lighting.
