SpiceJet to buy 205 new Boeing planes

New Delhi, Jan 13 (ANI): Budget carrier SpiceJet on Friday said that it had agreed to buy 205 new aircrafts from Boeing as part of its expansion plans in the world’s fastest growing aviation market. Confirming the news, SpiceJet’s chairman Ajay Singh said they have worked hard to reduce the maintenance cost of the fleet going forward. Boeing Vice Chairman Ray Conner said the aircraft are 20 percent better and environment friendly than the original airplanes that were delivered in 1997.
