Army Polo Championship 2017: 61 Cavalry bags trophy

New Delhi, Feb 25 (ANI): After a thrilling series of matches, the Army Polo Championship that kicked off on January 31, concluded on Friday, with 61 Cavalry bagging the trophy against Army Service Corps (ASC). Lieutenant General R.V. Kanitkar presented the trophy to the winning team in a ceremony presided by many seniors army officials. The Championship, held at Delhi Cantt’s Army Equestrian Centre Polo Ground, saw participation from Corps of Artillery, Remount, Veterinary Corps and Armoured Corps. Re-instituted after a gap of ten years in 2015, the Army Polo Championship has witnessed participation of many renowned players over the years. The Indian Army has been promoting the spirit of Equestrian Sports, the sports which use horses as their games’ main part for a long time now.
