Three women embark on 70-day road trip from Coimbatore to London

Coimbatore, Mar 27 (ANI): Three women set off on an expedition road trip all the way from Coimbatore to London, with an aimed in mind to promote literacy for the girl child and women empowerment on Sunday. The trio – Meenakshi Arvind and Mookambika Rathinam from Coimbatore and Priya Rajpal from Mumbai – will travel through 24 countries in 70 days and reach London on June 05, where they will be received by the Indian High Commission. The team will drive around 500-km per day. The three women underwent training to improve their physical and mental strength and stamina. Rathinam said literacy of women was a pre-requisite for the development of the world. The 70 day-trip will also commemorate the completion of 70 years of India’s independence.
