Trivandrum (Kerala), Apr 29 (ANI): While activists of the Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community are still battling for their rights across the nation, Kerala went a step ahead and by organising the first-ever transgender athletic meet on Friday. With a footfall of 132 participants from across 12 districts, the mega sports event was held at the Central Stadium. State’s Sports Minister AC Moideen inaugurated the fest which had six events- 100 metres, 200 metres and 400 metres races, 100×4 relay, high jump and shot put. The mega event was jointly organised by the Kerala State Sports Council and Sexual Gender Minority Federation of Kerala.
