Sri Lankan PM calls on PM Modi to strengthen bilateral ties

New Delhi, Apr 26 (ANI): Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to further strengthen the bilateral ties between the two countries. Wickremesinghe, who is on a four-day visit, will be discussing various ways to deepen the relations and increase the bilateral ties between India and Sri Lanka. Accompanied with a high level delegation, Wickremesinghe also met Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and it is expected that the two leaders will discuss ways to sort the issue of Tamil Nadu farmers being apprehended every second day by the Sri Lankan navy. The Sri Lankan PM also met Union Road and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and was seen having a brief discussion.
