3 drivers injured in militant attack on oil tankers convoy

Kangpokpi (Manipur), May 01 (ANI): At least three drivers were injured after a group of suspected armed militants attacked their oil tanker’s convoy near Kangpokpi area of Manipur on Sunday. The incident took place on National Highway-2 while the tankers were on their way to Dimapur. Post the incident, a police team was rushed to the spot and a search was launched around. The tankers’s convoy was escorted by a group of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel. Injured drivers have been identified as Raju Karki, TB Singh and Chandra. Earlier in April, two oil tankers were attacked and leaked by militants in the same region.
