Days after the newly formed BJP led NDA government announced 14.2 per cent hike in railway fares, the Central government drew criticism from all quarters of the political arena. Even the MPs from within the party made their way to meet Railway Minister Sadanand Gowda to express their reservations over the hike. The issue didn’t stall there as the Congress party in Chennai have been voicing their concern over the issue by staging a mass protest.
