New Delhi, Nov 05 (ANI): Bihar on Thursday registered 59.46% voter turnout in the final phase of the assembly elections. The polling recorded in Madhubani District saw 55.87 percent, Supaul 58.60 percent, Araria 62.00 percent, Kishanganj 61.54 percent, Purnea 62.95 percent, Katihar 67.27percent, Madhepura 57.84 percent, Saharsa 50.78 percent, and Darbhanga 58.27 percent respectively. The fifth and final phase of the Bihar Assembly polls began at 7 am today for 57 seats spread across nine districts. Polling concluded in 55 constituencies at 5 pm, whereas in the 2 Naxal-affected seats- Simri Bhaktiyarpur and Mahisi in Saharsa district, polling concluded at 3 pm. Voters will decide the fate of 827 candidates, including 58 women. The Election Commission has put all arrangements in place to ensure free and fair voting.
