PATNA: The East Central Railway (ECR) will run two special trains on the eve of Holi betweenMumbai and Muzaffarpur and Mumbai and Darbhanga to clear rush of passengers intending to visit their native place in Bihar.
While Lokmanya Tilak-Muzaffarpur special train (01081-01082) will start from Lokmanya Tilak Terminal on March 16 at 1.20 am on Wednesday night reaching Muzaffarpur the next day at 11.50 pm, the special train will have the load combination of about 21 bogies, including general bogies three, sleeper 14, 2 AC one and 3 AC one. The fare of this train is the same as is being realized from passengers for mail and express trains, ECR CPRO Dilip Kumar said.
According to him, this special train will leave Muzaffarpur station on March 18 at 7.25 am in the morning for Mumbai . However, the Mumbai-Darbhanga special train (01085-01086) will run from Lokmanya Tilak Terminal on March 19 at 12.50 am on Saturday night reaching Darbhanga on March 21 at 12. 30 pm. It will have the load combination of about 22 bogies, including general bogies two, sleeper 15 and 3AC three, he said.
Besides, the railways has put all passengers coming to Bihar from far off places on high alert about the drug menace and con men activities on running trains during festival time. The GRP and RSPF personnel have been asked to take full preventive measures while escorting long-distance mail and express trains, the CPRO said.
