Patna, May 14 (PTI) Asserting that no no farmer would be allowed to die because of drought persisting in Bihar for two successive years, state Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh said that Bihar government would reach all-possible help to farmers for increasing foodgrain production. While addressing a workshop on Kharif crop here, Singh said the state government would provide subsidy on diesel in the event of poor rainfall during the coming monsoon. Singh said the state government would encourage farmers to take up organic farming to meet the scarcity of fertilisers as the state would require nine lakh metric tonne fertiliser for kharif this year.
