Patna, Jun 9 (PTI) With the monsoon knocking around, Water Resources Minister Vijay Chaudhary today directed the engineers of his department to complete all flood safety measures in Bihar by June 15.Presiding a meeting with the chief engineers to review progress of various flood control projects, he said that all safety projects must be completed by June 15.The engineers should also ensure round-the-clock monitoring of the embankments and be vigilant about safety of the embankments, he said.The minister directed the engineers to identity small irrigation projects in their respective administrative jurisdiction and seek permission from the planning department for execution of these projects at the earliest.
