Nepal Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai will inaugurate Pravasi Bihari Diwas at a function in Patna next week which will be also attended by Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk. Bhattarai will visit Patna on day-long trip to address the ‘Global Summit on Changing Face of Bihar: Forging Partnership for Development”.
he three-day event from February 17 is being organized by Bihar Foundation, Patna, in association of Asian Development Research Institute, Patna and Institute for Human Development, Delhi, according to Indian Embassy sources. Bhattarai will reach Patna on February 17 to inaugurate the international seminar and return on the same day in the evening, Ram Rijhan Yadav, PM’s press advisor said.
Besides the Bhutan King, several other international leaders and officials are expected to attend the seminar which will share experiences and practices of governance and development in the Indian state under the leadership of popular Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. This will be the second visit of the JNU-educated Prime Minister to India after assuming the top office in August last year. Earlier, he paid his first official visit to India in October.
