The Part 2 of Crime Saga from erstwhile Bihar, Gangs of Wasseypur would be released on August 10 according to Vikram Malhotra, COO Viacom18 Motion Pictures which has produced this movie.
The Entire movie is of 300 Minutes and the two parts are of roughly 150 Minutes.
Sources claim that the production house is releasing the film earlier than planned, to cash in on part one’s box office acceptance. Despite an ‘A’ certificate, Gangs of Wasseypur received a positive response from the audience and critical acclaim as well. It has already collected a net total of Rs. 17 crores.
According to reports, during the weekend, it saw 100 per cent occupancy in theatres, while on weekdays it was between 80 per cent and 90 per cent.
In part 2, Wasseypur is no more the town that was once consumed by the raging war between Sardar Khan and Ramadhir Singh. It has spawned a new generation of money squandering lobbyists, turning into foolhardy gangs overnight.
With illegal profiteering through scrap trade auctions over the Internet, corrupt government officials, election rigging and hooliganism, the town got murkier.
Everyone wanted alliance with the most powerful man of Wasseypur, Faizal Khan. His sole ambition however, is to annihilate Ramadhir Singh, the man with the grand scheme.
