Video of Yarmouk refugee camp in Syria shows Pathetic condition of Human Lives

Aleppo: Video distributed by activists appears to show the state of the Yarmouk refugee camp in Syria. It’s suffered a week of shelling and fighting between the Syrian regime, local opposition fighter, and Islamic State forces who’ve seized most of the camp. Homes and shops have been destroyed.

The International Committee of the Red Cross says emergency medical care is desperately needed.

The footage shows a group of people with what a man says is a dying cat.

He says they’re calling for animals rights now…because nobody cares about human ones.

The United Nations says it wants to work with the Syrian government to ensure the safety of Palestinians and Syrians both inside and outside the camp.

DEPUTY TO THE U.N. ENVOY TO SYRIA, RAMZI EZZEDINE RAMZI, SAYS “The situation in the camps is our special case and we need to address is as soon as possible, so we’ve agreed that we will work together based on what Syria has done over the years and try to intensify this co-operation so that we can address the ongoing tragedy.”

In the city of Aleppo, the government and opposition fighters are accusing each other of attacks thought to have killed at least 12 people.

Video posted on a social media website purports to show people searching for survivors at a market in the rebel-held al-Maadi district on Saturday.

Reuters isn’t able to independently verify the footage.

State media said eight of the victims were killed there by insurgent bombing. Dozens more were buried in the rubble.

Aleppo is a major front line in the conflict.

Insurgent groups inside and around it have so far repelled Syrian military and militia attempts to cut supply lines from Turkey.
