A candlelight procession was taken out in the evening, demanding cancellation of the transfer notification. There has been report of burning of Effigy of Government against his transfer.
This is first time when people are protesting a transfer on such a scale. The interesting point is that no Political Party, NGO or organization has come forward in Support of this cause.
While many are grieved after his transfer, Shivdeep Lande does not consider it as a disappointment. When a girl asked “Who will save us from molesters?” Lande looked at her and said smilingly, “Araria-Patna is 8-hour journey.” Hundreds of people gathered out at his official residence to take his autograph.
