CBSE to declare Class 12 Examination Results on 26 May 2014

CBSE would declare the Results of Class 12 (XII/Plus 2) Examination for Science (PCB, PCM) and Commerce Streams on May 26, 2014. The Results would be made available online on the website cbseresults.nic.in. The Results for private candidates would also be declared on the same day. For the first time, the results of Class 10 (X) has  been declared before Class 12  Results.

The Intermediate Examinations were conducted between March 1 to April 17 in which 1029874 candidates appeared which is 10% more than the number of  candidates in 2013 (942035). The number of Boys Candidates was 603064, with an increase of 8.72% compared to 2013. The number of girls candidate was 426810, which saw a record 10.12% increase compared to 2013 Examination. This year also saw over 3000 differently abled candidates participating in the examinations.

The  Class 12 Examination were held at 3039 Centers. The number of schools participating in the examination was 8602.

This year onwards CBSE introduced facilities to schools to generate online Roll no. wise List of Candidates appearing in Class X/XII examination 2014. Schools also had to generate online Admit card for their regular students  appearing in 2014. No Print Admit Card was separately sent.

The number of chances for Compartment Examinations for Class XII have been raised to Three.

Introduction of Value Based Questions in all major subjects for classes X and XII up to 3-5 marks. The Board has decided to follow an interdisciplinary approach in value education where values are intermingled with the content of all the major subjects in classes IX to XII. The questions will be based on content and analysed on the basis of  the values it reflects.
