Post his suspension, People’s Party of Arunachal firm against Pema Khandu’s leadership

Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, Dec 30 (ANI): After temporarily suspending Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu yesterday, People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA) on Friday firmly said the former should go in interest of the state. Fearing that Khandu’s leadership could pose threat to the BJP-PPA alliance, PPA President Kahfa Bengia said the CM resorted consulting to the organisation members which developed a communication gap. Party’s Chairman Kamen Ringu reiterated similar sentiments. The party’s comments came after Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and five MLAs were suspended yesterday with immediate effect. Pema Khandu had taken over Nabam Tuki following a dissident campaign in July earlier this year.
