Relief for tourists as Shimla adopts digital modes of transactions

Shimla, Dec 30 (ANI): Over 50 days after the implementation of demonetisation, tourists and shopkeepers had a sigh of relief as majority of them have adopted digital modes of transactions. Queues outside the ATMs and banks have begun to diminish now with people shifting to online modes of payments. In the beginning, residents, businessmen and visitors encountered trouble in making purchases while situation considerably improved in the last few days. The Centre’s announcement of scrapping the old notes of Rs. 500 and 1,000 on November 8 has drawn mixed reactions across the nation.
