PATNA: Even as Patna University (PU) colleges are witnessing huge rush of aspirants seeking admission to undergraduate courses, the last date for submission of application forms for admission to postgraduation courses has been extended by a week. The last date for submission ended on Tuesday, but keeping in view the delay in publication of results of degree examinations, it has been extended till June 30, said PU pro-vice-chancellor S I Ahson.
The LLB and LLM entrance examinations will be held as scheduled on July 5. The last date for submission of forms for the entrance test has also been extended from June 22 to June 26. The pre-Ph.D registration test, which was scheduled to be held on July 5, will now be held on July 24.
Admissions to the various undergraduate and postgraduation courses under self-financing schemes are going on and are likely to be completed by the end of the current month. PU has already decided to complete all admissions by July 15 and to start its next academic session from July 16.
Meanwhile, PU Discipline Committee passed a censure motion against former PU chemistry department head and Patna University Teachers’ Association president Dharm Prakash for his alleged various acts of omissions and commissions, including unauthorized absence and misbehaviour with the VC and pro-VC. It also decided to treat his absence from the department as unauthorized leave.
