PATNA: In a first, Bihar State Archives has published a list of 185 volunteer convicts of undivided Bihar who were at the infamous Cellular Jail in the Andamans and Nicobar at the time of Japanese occupation on March 1942.
The chance discovery of files pertaining to a list of Bihari convicts at Cellular Jail in the record room of the state archives building has surprised everyone. It is likely to throw new light into the history of freedom fight-ers from Bihar.
