A very Unfortunate incident occurred in the last Janta Darbar of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, when a village Woman seeking justice was forcibly dragged out of the CM’s Court by Police.
Nutan Devi, a sarpanch of a local village panchayat has been abandoned by her husband for another woman. She had come to the durbar seeking justice, but was given rhetorical assurance and turned away.
She begged in front of Kumar for justice, she was whisked away. Left to deal with cruel police officers outside, she felt shamed and humiliated in the chief minister’s court. The woman found some sympathy from the opposition.
She cried helplessly in front of the chief minister hoping to get justice, there was nobody to hear her wails as she was dragged out as Kumar also ignored her cries.
RJD MLA Samrat Chowdhary said, “This is a sad news. This incident in Janata Durbar is a serious issue. The chief minister should apologise. There was a way to ask the woman to go out. The chief minister should close the Janata Durbar as the grievances of the common people are never addressed.”
