Tanushree believes that Bihar is shining

PATNA: Tollywood star Tanushree Dutta is aware of the fact that “Bihar has moved on and progressed” and that “crime has gone down tremendously”. But she would not say who she would vote for, if given a chance to vote in the ongoing assembly election in Bihar. “Actually I do not have much interest in politics though I have heard a lot about politicians of Bihar,” she says, rather diplomatically.

In town to inaugurate a spa on Boring Road on Friday evening, the former Miss India drew a huge crowd of her fans. Instead of getting scared of the mob, she was all praise for Biharis. “Biharis are well-meaning and nice people, very homely and well-natured too. They are extremely hard working and have done so well outside their state,” she told TOI.

The silver screen glamdoll felt Bihar has yet not got its due. The state got negative media and it tarnished its image. It will take years to shed its image.

The almond-eyed actor, wearing a green and onion coloured salwar-suit, must have stolen many a heart. “I love wearing Indian dresses. But I dress up according to the occasion. For a red carpet, I would rather wear a western outfit,” she said and added more than the dress, it’s the inner beauty and grace that adds to your persona.

Though the Bollywood beauty is in love with Bengali cuisine, she craved for `litti-chokha’ while in Patna.

Having worked on three projects with `serial kisser’ Emraan Hashmi, Tanushree is game for further assignments with him if interesting scripts come her way. On her new release `Rama – The Saviour’, she said, “I am happy the movie has finally seen the light after a minor glitch that had delayed its release.”
