Hoping to reach out to people across the class divide, particularly the young, Uttar Pradesh’s new tech savvy Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will soon have a new address in cyber space.
Akhilesh Yadav, the state’s youngest chief minister at 38, who has restarted the tradition of ‘janata darshan’ at his home every week, is now going to start a new website.
The website www.akhileshyadav.com is under construction and will be up and running soon, said Samajwadi Party spokesperson Rajendra Choudhary.
Akhilesh Yadav, who is keen on propelling development through IT in the state, has been on Facebook for the past several months, but his quota of 5,000 is already full. His subscription has also crossed a lakh, said his aides.
The chief minister is keen to have a direct dialogue with people across all demographics and wants to interact with them on a regular basis, say his supporters.
The new website shows Akhilesh Yadav in a white kurta, black sleeveless jacket and the red Nehru cap of the SP party. It says “site coming soon”.

FDI is good for the nation as it can bring in good quality material and services at competitive price. When Toyota make a new model car first it come to USA, it is not because there is no good car available there. See in You Tube George Schultz driving his Japanese Nissan Leaf car by solar power, he is not using petrol. The aim in allowing import is to get better quality at lower price and seeing these local companies can make similar products. This may affect our existing industries and therefore I suggest a gradual opening of our economy to FDI, but how long we can pull-on like this? Let the technocrats answer this part. This is like we are facing an examination and we should prepare for this. I am working as an overhead transmission line (OHTL) engineer with several nationality people working together and I have studied how to construct OHTL more economically. We should not fear the Chinese but go and see how they are doing. Considering the above we should encourage FDI and I believe our educated younger generations will accept this and start to make similar or better things as a challenge to transform India for a better future.
