Doctors of Pakistan have confirmed that the Indian Prisoner Chamel Singh was tortured  and beaten to death.  Singh was at the tail end of his five-year sentence, on charges of espionage, when he died on January 15.  However Pakistan Govt continues with its Heart Stroke theory which says that he suffered a massive stroke while working in the prison compound. He was immediately rushed to nearby Jinnah Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
According to the initial Autopsy report, traces of four injuries were found on Singh’s body including a fracture in the right knee, a 1.5-2.0cm abrasion on the left knee joint, an abrasion over his upper lip and scars on his thigh.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, a doctor who had earlier treated Singh at the Jinnah Hospital told a Pakistani Newspaper  that the prisoner was brought to the hospital after he fell unconscious. However he was dead on arrival, the doctor maintained, adding that his body bore signs of torture.
Another fact which confirms the torture is that  an inmate who was just released from prison, saw Chamel Singh being beaten to death by prison staff for washing clothes in the prison courtyard. However, it took two months to conduct a post-mortem which adds to suspicions of foul play.
