Senior Congress Leader and two times Chief Minister of Madhya PRadesh Digvijay Singh earned flakes from Media and Political Pundits when he called the Congress MP from Mandsaur, Meenakshi Natarajan as a Tunch Maal (literally a desirable sexual product or bombshell ).
Digvijay Singh, who was speaking at a rally in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, earlier in the day praised Natarajan by first pointing out that she was hard-working, a social worker, Gandhian, honest and ended by calling her 100 percent ‘tunch maal’.
This remark has been termed Sexist in Media and by various Woman Groups.
Congress spokesperson Renuka Chowdhary tried to duck a barrage of questions from media, saying she had not heard Singh’s remarks and was not aware in what context he had said so.
“How can I endorse or condemn something when I am not aware what has happened,” she said, stressing that if he intended to praise Natarajan then the matter should end here.
Digvijay Singh however says that  he will file a defamation case against channels who misinterpreted his statement.
“I saw the statement on channels. I am going to file a defamation suit against all those channels that have shown this,†he said.
