Extending support to the steep rail fare hike by Narendra Modi government, Rashmi Dhar the national vice president of BJP women wing defended the rail fare hike, calling it a strong and effective measure to counter Congress’ failure.
Addressing media persons, Rashmi Dhar  opined  there should be no problem in paying Rs 50 more for a rail ticket, provided passengers get better facilities. Dhar also asked the people to stop the outcry on the fare hike.  The government has increased rail passenger fares by 14.2 percent and freight rates by 6.5 percent, which has led to an outcry by the opposition parties.
