Muhammadu Buhari is all set to be the next President of Nigeria replacing Goodluck Jonathan. Buhari won the Presidential Elections by over 2 Million votes over incumbent president, Goodluck Jonathan.

Celebrations have already started in Buhari’s hometown Buhari campaigned on a promise of doing more to crack down on the violent Islamist group Boko Haram, and his supporters say they’re hopeful their new leader will lead them to a safer, more prosperous Nigeria.
One Buhari Supporter said, “I came to celebrate the victory of General Muhammadu Buhari. I’m happy that he wins the elections and there were no more insurgency and he will provide job opportunity for us. We will stop taking drugs. I pray to almighty God to guide him to make Nigeria better.”
Buhari watched his lead grow steadily through day as returns came in from around the country.
And with his victory apparently decided, spokesman Lai Mohammed says there is now “no reason to doubt” that President Goodluck Jonathan will concede defeat.
ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS SPOKESMAN, LAI MOHAMMED, SAID, “We are all happy because we are witnessing history, history in the sense that this is the first time in Nigeria that a sitting government would be voted out of power using purely democratic means. Before now, when our governments were not popular, they either sit tight or they are removed by the military.”
The elections were marred by reports of voting irregularities and drive-by shootings blamed on Boko Haram militants.
More than a dozen people were killed.
But Buhari supports believe such attacks will soon become increasingly rare, as their man begins to deliver on his promises.
