In another big development, Rahul Gandhi made his presence felt on Twitter with his twitter handle @OfficeofRG. His Twitter debut was hailed by several Congress Leaders.
On Twitter, Gandhi has gathered more than 20,000 followers in less than 24 hours of joining the social networking site. His Twitter profile reads: ‘Rahul Gandhi, Member of Parliament, and Vice President of Indian National Congress’. Three tweets have been made from the account since its inception with the latest being a video featuring Gandhi giving speech at the Lok Sabha.
Most of his fellow party leaders welcomed him to the virtual world. Minister of State in Prime Minister’s Office, Jitendra Singh congratulated Gandhi on joining Twitter. The account was verified on Thursday afternoon.
