The Punjab Government has dismissed a Home Guard Sukhwinder Singh for sexually harassing a British tourist on board Shaheed Express while she was travelling from Amritsar to New Delhi.
Sukhwinder Singh was posted in Amritsar. He has been discharged from duty with immediate effect. He was accused of harassing and making obscene gestures towards a UK national on board an Amritsar-Delhi train on May 19.
The guard was arrested by the Railway Police Punjab, after a the tourist accused him of sexually harassing her on board Shaheed Express while she was travelling from Amritsar to New Delhi and booked under Sections 354 (a) and (b) which deal with sexual harassment of women.
